We get asked this question frequently and the sad truth is, right now our hands our tied. Many vapers don't seem to know that, in August of 2016, the FDA put a moratorium on new flavors being introduced to the market. It's little wonder why since many companies have completely ignored this regulation and have been shamelessly continuing on with business as usual.
We'd love nothing more than to put our magical e-liquid mixing hat back on and go wild in our e-liquid kitchen. I admit, we're jealous watching other companies roll out new flavors but we just can't do it. At Kai's Virgin Vapor, we've always worked hard to play by the rules, both because following the rules, regulations and laws of our country is the right thing to do but also to set an example of responsibility in an industry that has all too often in recent years been populated by players just looking to make a quick buck. When e-liquid companies flout the law, it makes our industry look bad. And with the FDA already threatening to ban flavors entirely, we feel it's important to do the right thing and hold our space as model citizens while our industry is under such intense scrutiny and attack. Nonetheless, each time we see another company playing it fast and loose with a new flavor roll out, it can sometimes feel like a thankless job.
That said, FDA regulations DO allow us to bring back flavors that were already on the market prior to the August 2016 cut off date. Since we're practically a dinosaur in the e-liquid market, having been around since all the way back in 2010 when most people in the United States had never even heard of an "electronic cigarette," we have lots of e-liquid flavors in our arsenal. We've been quietly working with our organic flavor manufacturers to bring back some of our old customer favorites. While we're not yet at liberty to name names, we know some of our longtime customers will be ecstatic when we do finally do our own big reveal. Stay tuned!
